bluelogo.gif TOUCH 2000 was a united initiative of the churches of Tonbridge and Hildenborough, its name standing for "Tonbridge United Churches 2000."  It was particularly involved in organising events and coordinating projects over the millennium period.  Its committee was formed of lay representatives from local churches of all denominations and was chaired by Steve Fisher, minister of Christ Church U.R.C.  One of the main aims of TOUCH 2000 was to encourage unity and closer working between local churches, regardless of denomination.

Although "TOUCH 2000" has disbanded with the passing of the millennium year, the churches in Tonbridge and Hildenborough are still working together in many different ways under the name "Tonbridge United Churches".  These include joint services and special events, and initiatives such as the Tonbridge Christian Arts Group (TCAG), which produces regular musicals and is formed of a choir with members from many local churches.  You will also find some of the ways in which particular churches are working together by looking around this site.
